The Project was an experimental Alternate Reality Game combining transmedia storytelling, improvisation guerrilla theater-style performances, set pieces and art installations, and live improvisational gameplay and narrative.

Utilizing social media, live, interactive role-playing events, video, audio, and a variety of puzzles, The Project explored a world in which three conspiracy groups offered widely divergent viewpoints and play styles that players were able to participate in over the course of three and a half weeks. The central science-fiction mystery involved engaging with a portal to another world. The Project took place at the University of Chicago and was covered in Grey City magazine.
